A group of local hams led by N1BS, N1RWJ, and K1NW have been working on organizing a three day POTA Activation-a-Thon for this coming September. This was last attempted in 2023. Starting September 10th (“soft start/rehearsal day”) and Friday, September 11th through Sunday, September 13th we hope that all of you will join in a grand attempt to activate all 61 Rhode Island POTA references. This is obviously a great opportunity for all of us and hunters from all over to complete their RI Hunted List, as well as showcasing the energy we hams have here in the Ocean State.
Please navigate to the new RIPOTA.org page and register to activate one or many POTA references during the event. Tell your friends, POTA connections, clubs and even post about this event on your QRZ page (a pdf flyer will be posted here soon). Plan ahead to upgrade your POTA station (new antennas, new rig?), organize joint activations, or whatever it takes to participate! If you have any questions first read through the RIPOTA.org pages (thanks Rob!) and then ask here (or contact one of the organizers above). The web site has everything you should need and your park-time selections will be fully editable once your registration is approved.
